ASRA - Australian Skateboard Racing Association

Hey guys,  Thanks for all of the support so far, I'm so glad you like the Spindrift/TopSpin.  I've spent the past 4-5 months prototyping and testing developing my next two boards,  so here's some info about them for you to check out.

Features

Kick-tail and kick-nose
Full 6” tail and 4” nose. They feel great whether you want to ollie up a curb, get locked in for a nose manual, or just some surfy carving down a hill.

Routed wheel wells
The wheel wells are nice and clean, in combination with the mild cutouts they make for very good wheel clearance without limited the standing room to much.

7-ply maple construction
makes for a solid but light board, with just as hint of flex.

Fiberglass reinforced kicktail
keeping the tail stiff and strong. Giving you peace of mind and helping the board hold up to more aggressive riding.

Gas pedals
The gas pedals work together with the outward angled tail, giving you a great spot for your heel or toe when pusing out a slide.

Radial concave
5/8” radial concave, comfortable yet effective'

Specs for the Mongrel

Length: 38"
Wheel Base: 23, 23.5, 24"
Concave: 5/8" Radial
Width: 9.5"
Nose/Tail Angle: 20°
Nose/Tail Length: 4" and 6"

The Mongrel is the larger of the two, giving you enough room for a full wide stance when you have your foot on the tail making you feel as comfortable as if you were on your full sized freeride deck, but with and added surfy feel from riding on the kicktail. There’s also plenty of room to ride between the bolts if that’s your style.

At 9.5” width it’s wide enough to have a nice solid platform for your feet, but not so wide that it’s cumbersome. Thanks to the width and the concave there is only a slight flex in the board which keeps it stable for riding at higher speeds. The combination of the mild wheel cutouts, clean routed wheel wells, and multiple wheel bases gives you plenty of room to run larger wheels.

The tail is reinforced with fiberglass to keep it strong and stiff. The angle of the edges work together with the gas pedals to give you a comfortable and secure place for your toes or heels when pushing out a big slide.

Specs on the Mutt

Length: 35"
Wheel Base: 20, 20.5, 21"
Concave: 1/2" Radial
Width: 9.25"
Nose/Tail Angle: 20°
Nose/Tail Length: 4" and 6"

The Mutt, little brother of the mongrel, has all of the same great features of its larger counterpart but in a smaller size. This makes it lighter and more nimble, but without sacrificing any function. The size will give it a feel closer to a traditional skateboard, making it handy for maneuvering around a bowl, or busting street tricks.

What sets it apart from a standard street deck is more substantial concave, better wheel clearance, a longer platform, along with a fiberglass reinforced tail so you have peace of mind during more aggressive tricks.

Don’t underestimate the mutt’s capabilities based on its smaller size. It can keep up when it comes to going sideways down hills. Did that hill by your house start to get boring on your 30” wb freeride deck? The mutt will certainly liven things up.

Nice shapes! Concave is nice and deep too.
