The radio announcers did not go over the top about it this morning before 9:30
They put it down to him being a real dickhead from another country.
However it would have been total outrage if a local was dumb enough to do that.
The deputy commissioner of cops seemed to be quite annoyed at the action, and praised the guy from the Fire brigade who took him to safety.
For those that want to waste 20 seconds of their lives!

Permalink Reply by Fish Leicester on June 3, 2011 at 11:18 haha next time a cop pulls you over just talk to him in a european accent, ask where the nearest hostel is and pretend you didn't know better

Apparently he is currently "remanded in custody", ie, he's in jail. They're saying he might be a bit of a nutter, which may or may not be true, but it seems a bit over the top for him to be in jail over this.

So he got a $1000 fine to be paid to a road trauma foundation.
He had his skateboard confiscated and was placed on a 2 year good behaviour bond, and it was suggested to him that he go back home. So instead he's off to the NT and will leave Oz on June 29th via sydney.
