"Sweep" 28/2/10 (the sunday)
Hey Guys
just a shout out to everyone whos keen for some local chilled out DH around sydneys north shore. we were thinking of getting there at like 7 30am , as cars are only allowed in at 9am.
the nearest train station is macquarie park which is about 800 metres away....
the run is in lane cove/west pymble/ryde/ macquarie park just off lane cove road.
the run is roughly 900 metres of newly hotmixed waiting to be skated..
speeds are around 55kmh if u really push out hard and hold a strong tuck otherwise just a bit over 40 if ur cruisng around. the turns in the run are easy and fun.
depending on the amount of people comin me/merrick were thinking $2 races (maybe.)
the road is called riverside drive and is scenically very beautiful!

sounds like fun... weekend downhills in the city are pretty rare.
what's the walk back up the hill like?
and I'll be coming from redfern if any city slickers need a ride (room for 1)

walk up the hill is easy...
takes like 5 mins.
or u can pay $7 to drive ur car in and just give everyone a lift back up to the top!

wen we got there there was a bit of gravel on the ground.
so we had to 'sweep' it.
i dunno, kinda just came..

for those driving, you can park you cars at the park across the road, there's also a nice little bike path that goes under the main rd and joins up to the park...
