street lunge longboarding
hey peeps i want to get into street lunge but i need to know would it be better to get a board or make one and what gear i need, if you know of eny sites or places in perth tell me plz
also if you have made a board can you tell me some tips or even just tips on riding and other things i need to know.

you'll find tips on gear here as well as info on boards and a list of contacts that is still growing daily.
unfortunately at the moment there aren't many guys riding luge in WA but i'm pretty sure there are some downhill skateboarders on this forum that have done a bit of luge. deffinately hook up with them if they put their hands up.
www.sydneystreetluge.com has not officially been launched yet, but soon you'll be able get all the info you need including board building tips.

If you look at the Perth riders pages, here on ASRA, try and hookup with Brodie. He roes DH as well as luge in the Perth area. He's a good guy.

If you're making a board it would have to definitely be a Buttboard or Classic Luge. Making a Streetluge would take forever and you need a small machinery shop hahaha.
Straight up you need leathers (1 or 2 piece), full face helmet, leather gloves, some decent shoes with truck or car re-tread stuck on the bottom so you don't burn your feet away.
You can find plans for Classic Luge on the net or talk to Sakamoto about one. I can build them also but Sakamoto has the experience and gear.
If you want a full blown street luge then look at Rogers Brothers or a TRS. Talk to Ado @ Cre8ive if you're interested in some of those.
Definitely scope Sydney Streeluge out, like Phil said it's not official yet but the info on it basically spells out what you're getting into hahahah.
For WA Riders hit the Sites and Sessions or Join the group for West Aus Riders.
