ASRA - Australian Skateboard Racing Association

In our local town we are trying to rectify the tainted view on downhill skateboarding and just generally spread the stoke and broaden peoples horizons. The includes, but is not limited to, talking to the locals and smiling and waving at everything that moves, ESPECIALLY people in cars on the hills you are skating.

Recently "mumsie" was chatting with a work colleage when she said something along the lines of "I was driving the other day and these boys were riding skateboards down a hill, they gave me a huge smile and a wave. I didn't even know them. IT MADE MY DAY."

You may think that your friendliness is not noticed or goes unmentioned, but I know from experience that it pays off. Giving a wave also lets them know your in control, and not as scared as they might be. Spread the Stoke, it might just save you a run in with the Police.
