Hey guys,

A friend and I are planning a skating trip down the east coast this november; we've been looking around on google maps and came across Kosciuszko Road.  I know its a busy road during the Ski season, but do guys know what its like during the summer months?

How safe is it to longboard, and whats the tarmac quality?

Also is there any must skate roads in the Snowy Mountains area, or anywhere from Brisbane down to Sydney way (I know its big area, sorry about that).

Any help would be seriously appreciated.

Just realized I didn't specify this, but we're looking at the section between Charolette's Pass and Jindabyne, going past Perisher Valley.

There are tons of great skate roads in the snowies but they can be deadly, if your going I would suggest going with someone that has been before.

Also the run you are looking at from charlottes pass is shit, the one going towards perished I rad, max 80km start just before the bridge.

What makes them dangerous, is it the corners, steepness or just combination of everything?

Also what bridge were you talking about?  I've looked on maps and i can see several.

Cheers

it depends on your level of riding,...the very topsection from charlottes pass down is very chilled and good for beginners...theres a few ups and downs along kosciousko road, theres a cool little run past smiggins and then another one that goes most of the way to the bottom, the pavement is pretty good but gets a little grainy toward the bottom,...once your there youll know where to skate and where to start from etc...
