ASRA - Australian Skateboard Racing Association

i only recently discovered i push mongo and have spent the last month retraining myself to push regular.

i've finally managed to switch but mongo still feels harder/better/stronger/faster.

should i just keep sticking to regular or try and use both?

Use both and get good at both. If you ever injure a leg one day you will have a spare pushing leg to back you up Just make sure your foot braking regular as opposed to Mongo. Nice work!

Mongo seems faster off the mark (good to get ahead in races) but gets unstable at higher speeds (that's coming from a regular though)

I like using both and skogging (alternating push as if you were jogging)

I push both, I used to puch mongo but I realized it is'nt the best thing, so after weeks and weeks of pushing regular, I can do it no problems, I can push harder, faster and stronger with my back foot. But it's always a good idea to have both feet able to push :)

thanks.  honestly thought i'd never be able to switch. feels ridiculously unco when you start.
