hey i want to get into pool skating like they did in the old days carving around with little airs what type of board should i get i want one with one kick like the alva boards and are mini cruisers good for carving around a pool?

Dude that.s a Vision Gator reissue. Called a Vision Original I think.

I like the big tail and front mounted truck style. Look at Santa Cruz for 80s reissues.

Theres loads available if you just search online.
I got a Powell Peralta spoon nose, the Rodriguez one, 10 inches wide! (YEAH!)

Krux THE MAN trucks, Powell Ratbones wheels. Half inch risers. Weighs a tonne. Its a smooth ride and hella stable, but bloody slow and heavy. Getting back on my 8.5 popsicle, 56mm SPFs after skating the Spoon nose is like driving a motorbike after a week in a truck.

 

You want something with at least a 14 inch wheelbase to skate a bowl/pool properly. Most wide era boards had a 16+ wheelbase.

 

Old 80s boards are fun, but when you get back on your normal 'modern' skateboard, its all a hell of a lot easier...
