i wanna know, are there any materials etc you can find around the house, to make the soles on my shoes last longer, i mainly want it for my breaking foot, because obviously the sole is next to nothing after about 2 days... depending on the shoe. so yeah anything i can find around the house to make it last longer?

Get the spare tyre from the family car, a sharp cutting blade, and maybe a few friends to provide some extra muscle. Cut the outer layer of rubber off the tyre, down to the steel belt. Only cut the strip of rubber down the middle of the tyre - the outer parts are too difficult. Get your friends to help you pull the rubber off. Throw the spare wheel away when you're finished - you don't need it.

Once it's off, get some Kwik Grip glue, and apply it to both your shoe sole and the fresh piece of nicely cleaned rubber from the tyre. Wait about 30 minutes, and then stick them together. Use some tape (electrical/gaffa/whatever) to keep the rubber firmly in contact with the shoe. Leave it overnight, then use your sharp blade to cut the excess rubber off your shoe. You're all done.

You should probably write a note, something like "Sorry, I used the spare tyre for my skate shoes", and put it in the place in the car where the spare tyre used to be.

yeah thats basically it unless you wanna spend $22 for a quality made shoe from hopkin... which is probably about $200 cheaper than a tyre *hint hint don't go using your parents tyres or they may kill you*. otherwise, go to a car place or something and ask if they have any popped tyre ruber lying around or something and see if you can have it for free or maybe $10
go-kart tyre has no metal in it. lots of go-kart places replace theirs loads due to safety. they give it away.
clark rubber has industrial flooring made from recycled car tyres, its mostly black but with a yello or blue speckle thru it. its quite cheap(30bucks, 6 or 7 shoes) and easy to use cos its already flat, n its not too thick, so you dont lose board feel. n yeah, just cut to shape n contact cement(kwik grip)it on.
if you have like, a missmatched shoe from a set that you've burned through (the non-braking foot) hack the sole off it, flip it upside down and glue it to your brake shoe.
Go buy a pair of shoes. Then go to another store with an identical pair and buy them too. Walk out of the store, and discretely put two rights (or two lefts, depending) in the shoe box, return to the second store and explain that there were two rights (or lefts) in the box. They'll exchange them for a right-left pair, and that way you can get 3 rights and a left (or vice versa) for the price of two pairs of shoes. You could then go to a third store and repeat the process and then a fourth store...

Disclaimer: I've never done this and don't advise any sane person to do it either.
stirin' the pot there bugsy!
i had to read that twice to understand it. nice plan bugs.
Has anyone had any experience with a rear motorbike tyre?
Its heaps gummier than car tyre isnt it?

Itd still have radial in it though i suppose, go-kart tyre is a good idea.
