man asking for money for wheel re-alignment
I was skating in tamworth recently (on a lined road) when some farmer was driving up the hill. The right hand hairpin i was coming into wasn't blind so i took care to stay within my own lane. After the hairpin i stopped and walked up the hill. He continued up the hill and yelled abuse at the spotter who was watching the blind corner. He was saying stuff like skateboards are dangerous and generally a lot of yelling. He drove back about 5mins later and pulled over. He wanted $650 for a wheel re-alignment. (to my knowledge they don't cost that much) As he hit the guardrail very lightly. He had his pregnant wife and two kids in the car and pigging dogs in the ute. He was saying that he had guns and ammo that could have gone off if he flipped the car. I saw the damage he had to his big farm basher ute, he had a little bit of wheel scrub and would not need a wheel re-alignment. He seems to bit a bogan and was friends with the local police. He was claiming i was in the opposite lane, i have evidence i was not. Basically i want to know whether i should pay for damages or get it checked out by a mechanic to see if there is a problem or just not do anything. he has my phone number and registration plates.

If you were in your lane and he hit the guard rail then he should be done for driving with undue care and attention. I wouldn't have given him my phone number and he can take your rego if he likes but he shouldn't be able to get your name or address from that as it would be a breach of privacy by the authorities. I'd do nothing and wait to see what happens next. If you have proof you didn't stray outside of the downhill lane then make sure you keep it and show it to the authorities if they come calling as it will prove he just can't drive.
BTW my 4 wheel alignment on a sports Subi is only about $65 from Bob Jane!!!!!

Agreed, with Ado. You groms really need to stop giving out your phone numbers to angry drivers. What is wrong with you?!?
If he has ammo and guns in the vehicle then they should be stowed to legal requirements so that there is no risk in the event of an accident.
If he is stupid enough to drive into a guard rail when he spots something into the other lane then he shouldn't be driving, especially if he has his pregnant wife in the car.
Sounds like a real life troll to me trying to get an incredibly large sum of money out of someone who he assumes is stupid. Maybe he assumes this because you gave him your phone number? Don't answer his calls anymore.

We have his rego number and the reason why my dad gave the guy his mobile number was because the car is my dads work car and he didn't want anyone to ring his work because he will loose the car. although it seems to be sorted out know with the information provided in this thread. he doesn't want to take it to court and can't determine how to go ahead otherwise. thank you very much guys, i can now pay for flights to bathurst, kiera and btb!! thank you

Its sad to say that sometimes you're best keeping your evidence to yourself.
Esp video evidence on phones etc. Police have a habbit of bullying the public with threats until they get their corrupt mits on your phone to delete files. If you think its about to happen email the file to another phone immediately.
Cops can only site you for an offence. Courts hand out the punishments, once found guilty.
My mate got roughed up by cops. His GF filmed it. They deleted the video and charged him with assault and even claimed compo.
I've heard it happen elsewhere in Sydney too.
I'd be careful of copper's with redneck friends and viceversa.
