The omen carbon matrix isn't a topmount.
They are both completely different boards.

Nothing anyone says here will really help you make up your mind if you didn't know that.

Do some research on topmount speedboards, then narrow it down, then search that, because someone has probably already asked that as well. Then research a bit more.
Then you should know more about which topmount board to pick than any of us will. Then if you still can't decide come and make a thread to ask which board you want.

omen = longer, water proof and stiffer the batrix has a total of like 1 inch drop which you barely feel.

shark = shorter, not symmetrical and wooden top mounted 925

so we know which boards you want. but what things do you like/dislike about them?

This is why i never comment on asra. (They ARE topmounts)

Well I never look at my Ibach and Evo as topmounts. I always look at them as drop boards but whatever.

Man these groms don't know nothing.
Gareth, it depends on how much money you want to spend. The Matrix will be more stable at speeds but not as fun commuting and stuff. The Wolfshark is quite diverse with heaps of wheelbase options, I've even seen people use it for a ditch and pool board which was awesome. You'll tailor your riding style to the gear you get so don't worry too much about it, end of the day for me it has to look good and be cheap enough to ride it like you stole it.

i was just making a suggestion about other board makes mate do you want some more? Comet, fullbag, early, earthwing,fibretec, madrid, rayne, sector 9.

Topmount: The trucks are mounted below the deck, like a normal skateboard.
e.g: 
Drop Through: There are holes in the deck where the baseplate sits on top of the deck.

Drop Deck: There are bends in the wood of the deck to lower the standing platform. 

The Omen Carbon Matrix IS a drop board. The drop just isn't as pronounced as some (like the one above). 
Oh and it will also cost you almost double what a wood deck would cost.

ive curbed my omen a spank load due to my fail balance when trying to slide sure its got hellcat noses on them.... but i never even SEE the nose anymore so dont care ^^

not exactly double the price.... at the time rayne boards cost 270 for the deck i got my omen NEW and SHIPPED for 335
