how do i get started with wedge's?

Double wedge at the front, double de-wedge at the back is the stock setup for tight or hybrid slalom. From memory with Khiro wedges this adds 15 degrees to the front for more turn and flattens by 15 degrees at the back for more stability.

wedge the front , swap out the bushes & flip the washer on the loc's ( or use a flat washer ) , I have a modified wedge that works well with them on the front contact me through the FSU site & i'll send one with bolts to you for free ( was waiting on them when that board was sold ! they usually come wedged )

Dave has it right re Khiro wedges, and the principle is correct for any wedging.

One more thing; you have less leverage over a wedged truck, and more leverage over a dewedged truck. Therefore you need to put softer bushings in your front (wedged) truck and firmer bushings in your rear (dewedged) truck. Don't be afraid to exaggerate this.

Start with a potatoe. Cut your potatoe into wedge shaped pieces. Heat some oil in a pan or saucepan.........

also with soft and hard wedges,
soft for hybrid slalom? or hard?
i got that the soft improves ride smoothness, but hard improves responsiveness?
which ones are for me? as i am keen to get a bit more into some slalom
i am an amature though

most slalom is done on really nice smooth buttery roads so just go the hard ones (if you want you can get a thin rubber flat riser under your wedges) I reckon one of those khiro wedge riser kits are the go, you get everything up to 15 degrees, so you can really experiment as you get more confident with your gear. The khiro rail kit ones arent full wedges, just rails that go on each side, that you mix and match, good value.
