Hey guys,

I was wondering how everyone edits there GoPro footage.

I have Premiere Pro CS4 and After Affects CS4 and would like to edit it on that, however whenever I try and import my files they only come up with an audio thumbnail on the 2 programs. I think it is something to do with the programs not being able to work with MP4's.

I have tried converting the files to other file types but Microsoft AVI seems to be the only that works, however this reduces the film quality too much.

Would anyone be able to shed some light on how they edit there footage and if/ how they have been able to overcome this problem?

Thanks in advance,

Grant

U need to download a program called mpeg streamclip. This is your best free video converter. Very gopro friendly.

Now you might want to google search for some videos on how to convert using this program because putting it in writing can be a headache for u as there are so many options with this program.
I convert into a .mov file and use an apple intermediate codec.
Also Adam Colton did a tutorial video a while back about how to convert using that program. I can't remember where it was but you will have to do some web searches to find it
Thanks heaps Jacko
