ASRA - Australian Skateboard Racing Association

Filming was done today in Qld's hinterland with a group of Speedboarders and Lugers from Sydney and SE Qld. It's hoped that the filming will expand into more, but at this point in time this is the amount of exposure that we are being given.
Tuesday 20th Oct...30 to 40 second prelude to Wednesdays News.
Wednesday 21st Oct....2 to 3 minute story on the evening News.
rerun of story on Sports Tonight at 11pm.
Thursday 22nd Oct.......80% chance of story being run again on the early morning News.
This is coming out of Channel 10 Brisbane, but we have been told it will be National.
Thank you so much to everyone who travelled so far, and all those who may live local but put alot of hardwork in getting this story out to the general public. It was a great morning of filming. Cheers

As the only Sports Therapists in Queensland predominantly set up for the treatment of boarders, skate, surf, snow and gravity sports as a whole and the only Sports Therapists that have come forward to offer an affordable package to Newton's Playground (as per the registration page) in the words of Dani "story of what?" obviously not the whole story of IGSA at Newton's or surely myself and the volunteer army helping to put it together would know about this. So what was covered? is this the struggle of skaters and lugers as a whole or have you included gravity bikers, inline skaters etc. Good to know before we start telling people to watch.
Thanks Merrick, everyone seemed pretty pleased with how everything went.
Classic, Luge and Speedboarders were part of the filming, but the reporter was told of all disciplines that are competing at Bathurst and are being supported by ASRA. ASRA's efforts were spoken about, as well as the World Championships. Demographics of riders. The "BTB" event and it's cause and money raised. The hardwork of riders and organisers in raising the profile of all gravity disciplines. Professionalism and ASRA's ethos, including safety aspects. The IGSA's role in the Bathurst event. Imformation on some riders, past and present.
Basically this is what was covered, but the story is now with the editing staff. Like Merrick said, Jacko came from Sydney, and phone calls as late as 10pm last night were made to make today happen...Steve Daddow needs a big Thank You for all his help as well.
Good work Sakamoto. Thanks for putting it together.
Really look forward to watching.
thanks for clarification
What I was more interested in Sakamoto is whether its a good thing, bad thing, Steve Daddow thing or Jacko thing. General Aussie skate thing or Newton specific. All those questions have been answered. Cheers.
Just saw the footage as a preview for tomorrow nights channel ten news, looked awesome showed a bit of jacko's interview with some footage of us walking over the crest, and the guys freeriding.
didn't set the recorder for long enough, idiot!

at least the main one is tomorrow night.
Yeah dude was only a 30 second preview, was trying to look to see if you can replay the news via video on the website no luck yet.
