"BtB" Tech queries.
I've had a few queries regarding one person presenting their own equipment plus the equipment of other riders at Tech Inspection, so I thought I'd answer the question here.
The owner/rider of equipment to be Tech'd must be the person presenting said equipment at the designated Tech Inspection for "BtB". Equipment failing to pass Tech Inspection must be corrected by it's owner/rider, be resubmitted to and pass Tech Inspection before being accepted into the race field, in this case, the "free ride" field.
Section "G" is the relevant section in the IGSA Rulebook.

If we have hot glued and then cloth taped over a Split in the leathers, and it isn't showing signs of coming undone at the time of the tech inspection we don't need to then sew it as well do we Andy???

Hi joe, as long as the repair is sturdy, and will not be a weak point in a crash, I'll pass it. Each pair of leathers will be individually assesed, but if you can show it's sturdyness, you'll be fine...:)

Hey Andy. I was wondering if there is a couple of holes on the finger tips of leathers gloves. Can they be patched up with tape on the fingers?

Hi Carl, Tech is at Ado's shop on Friday from 10am until 6pm with a secondary Tech Inspection on the hill from 6.30am Saturday until 9.30am. Riders Meeting will be from 6pm until 7pm Friday evening directly after Tech Inspection. The meeting will be at Ado's Shop, Cre8ive Sk8 at Aitkenvale. Cheers

Luca aint rocking up till mid-day on saturday, couldnt get any earlier flights and cant miss his class on friday... whats the deal for tech inspection for him?
(im asking on his behalf coz i know he would forget)

First he will have to see michaela, she'll be the official at the bottom of the hill, to sign the his rego forms pay his money for sgs and shirt, then the tech inspector will be called and he will then inspect luca's gear. Once he is all clear he will be able to ride.
Because he would have missed the first run he will have to ride with a more experienced rider just so we know he is competent to ride the hill safely.

no probs, his first run (and nearly every awesome run) will be with me. Thanks for that info i'll pass on the message just incase he doesn't read this
