Just wondering if anyone reccommends to run bearings spacers or not?
For a pure downhill set-up, o-tang in heats and randal 180mm with a 42 plate.
Do them make much of a differnce with speed?
Help would be appreciated

sure put em in, why not? can't hurt can it...

guaranteed your not going to feel the slightest bit of difference if you rode with them or without them
your bearings will work better and last longer with spacers.
cheers Jacko.
Just getting set for Newton's and thinking of how they'll take the corners at speed.
Just read a conspiracy theory about how the friction and all that will slow you down, but then again if it's saving my bearings...
What's your opinion also on Grind King Rims?? No they're not for street cred, i just got a set on now and they keep them clean, just wondering why more guys aren't running them

it's no conspiracy dude, bearing spacers have no contact with any moving parts in the bearing, therefore there is no friction. they actually reduce friction by supporting the bearing, they prevent the inner ring, or track, getting 'squished' sideways out of alignment with the outer track.
this means your bearings will roll faster, cooler and longer.
your tuck and line has a way bigger impact on your speed than your bearings.
do your research, there's loads of bs surrounding bearings out there, skaters are the only ones buying it!
peace
