Just read this on the Courier Mail website. I didn't personally know him, but a death in skateboarding is family. RIP Anthony.

A BRISBANE filmmaker is dead after a downhill skateboarding accident on the Tweed Valley Way just north of Burringbar.
Anthony Fricker, 22, died in the Gold Coast Hospital early Sunday from head injuries he received in the accident about 5pm on Friday.
Tweed police duty officer Insp Jim Kain said Mr Fricker and a 28-year-old man were skating down a steep section of the road and reached speeds of 70km/h before they collided, the Gold Coast Buleltin reports
The 28-year-old was not seriously injured.
Insp Kain said the pair were with a small support crew who were filming a documentary.
Mr Fricker had emergency neurosurgery at Gold Coast Hospital and was placed on life support. It was turned off Sunday morning.
Mr Fricker was the creator of the website Skate Australia and a documentary of the same name which followed extreme downhill skaters on a trip around the country
