Anton Fricker Memorial Trophy for Newton's
Hey all
I was thinking off making a trophy we can present to the highest placed Aussie each year at Newton's as a tribute to the man himself. I don't want to make it just a Cup Trophy as that would be too standard. Maybe a MODEL OF VANTON Skate Australia Van as it was the vehicle to carry Anton's body during his service.
I would love everyone to have some input into what the Trophy would end up like. We had a great service for Anton and his family were so stoked in Anton involvement with ASRA and the skateboard community and very proud of what he was doing with Skate Australia.
Jonothan made a beautifull speech on behalf of all skaters and will work with Anton's brother Ed to complete SKATE AUSTRALIA. Look forward to hearing everyone input as Anton had a wonderful positive influence on our little skateboarding family.

great idea jezz a sculpture of a van would represet the man the best...and it has to be for newtons aswell not the conehead cup he was all about downhill and there's no better place than mt panarama...

Sounds like a great idea Jez. A perpetual trophy with a design that is symbolic of the freewheeling life of longboarding. Its the kind of thing that reminds us all why we are in this sport.

nice , totally agree . This sport is so so special , I still cant believe how much EVERYONE i have met todate is so totally into sharing info and helping and supporting , Anton has left a special feeling that captures that and a tribute is not just fitting but essential . Am happy to contribute in any way if needed
