Hey guys just wondering if i could get some background of ASRA for a little school project. Info like who created it, who runs it, is it for profit etc.

Here's a very personalised and one-sided account of how ASRA got started. It was published in a recent volume of Concrete Wave:
In short it's a non-profit incorporated association that was established to to represent skateboard racers and gain legitimacy for skateboard racing.
