Event Description

This is a late in inclusion for the ASRA events page, though I have had the post on the "Sites and Sess" forum for a while.

The gist is this: a 24 hour skate, the route being 22k's of bike tracks from Burleigh to Labrador. All are welcome to attend for an hour or the whole 24, all skate disciplines are invited (long and shortboarders, inliners and derby girls). There will be a prize at the end for longest distance, and a BBQ at the end as well.

I am doing this in part to raise awareness of the plight of those affected by the flooding in Pakistan, hence the subtitle of Google "Pakistan Donate', which I encourage everyone to do and give what you can.

Im heading out soon with space for 2 more in the car if anyones keen.
Will be picking up from wickham at 5, so if you want to come, better get moving.

1) I am going to try to make base camp at the bottom of the hill at Burleigh, not the cove carpark, so look for the shelter near the end of Hayle st filled with skaters
2) there are roadworks encroaching on the footpath at a couple of spots around Surfers, so you may need to go "on road" for a bit in that area.
3) watch it crossing the Southport bridge... there is a board size gap under the railing, and a stumble could result in a lost board, particularly if the board is a nice low DH board, so take it easy on the bridge.
