Event Description

Okay Guys and Gals, sorry for the short notice, i'm trying to make something happen but i need your help, this is a free event, kind of like the last Allawah meet, so its all for fun. Firstly, I need as many cones as we can muster (coz i have none), Secondly, Attenders, the more the merrier. The location is a new housing estate road (no through), plenty of parking, sticky tarmac and wide enough for dual lane racing (TS,HS or GS). And the only traffic there are tradies, whom do not work on Sundays. Plus its close to shops and the train station. So i guess I'll see you there! (update we're racing for points now?)

I might be in syd this weekend, how long would it take me to get down there from Coogee?

Cool Bugs just curious, single lane is fine and fun. We really should get back to pump station soon, I bet the transponder system would rock there!

Yeah sure, I'll do it. We could set up a duel lane on one of the three usable roads for practice/fun and then the main event single lane on another, provided we have enough cones. HA HA! I'm gettin greedy!

For head to head the system needs to be able to do a common start rather than an individual start, and also make a beep on that start. I don't think the Tag software I've got can do that, but it must exist somewhere.

I'm more inclined to do single lane anyway - easier, less organisation required, and we can set the course on the steeper road and use more of the width if needed to control speed.

Need somebody to do some buttboard runs for timing testing purposes too.

I'll see if i can get a roll of adhesive backed Velcro...

20 sounds plenty! Slalom rides the coat tails of downhill tech again!

I have one laptimer and Fitz has one;  Boomer was suggesting he would be getting one or two, so if the transponders fail (and we can get our Velcro the right way around) we will have a backup.

Can we use the transponder system for head to head?

That would be freaking amazing, Lets hope that they do arrive in time. I've never raced with timing systems in place, so this should be an awesome event. Thanks Bugs!

I need to test the new IDF Tag Heuer timing system, and this is a perfect opportunity. But I only have 20 transponders at the moment - not sure if the remaining 220 will arrive in Australia before then. So if we have more than 20 people...I dunno.

It's a brand new street between bulli and thirroul so google maps won't find it. I posted a map but here it is again.
