Its coming together!
I got VSA/YMCA Insurance cover and the ok to use Fawkner Park off Toorak Rd.
The park is in town and easy to get to with public transport.
Racing will be Timed Single lane slalom on near new bitumen.
Just need to get council to waive the $500 park hire fee (or a cash sponsor) so that race fee will be tiny!
looking forward to this
i'll be coming down to wiggle on the sunday! cant wait to do some slalom again!
down for the friday springvale session ! and slalom on sunday !
Action in the big bowl at Frankston will be off the scale!
Think Bowlarama without the Drama!
For you longboarders, Callum is sure to impress!
Frankston is not far from the hills of Mt Martha and Arthurs Seat....but you did not get any road-trippy ideas from me!
At the after party on Saturday night, Sac and Metal Age will be rockin it out, and some pretty good skatey stuff will be auctioned, to make sure our friends in Swaziland can get a good drink also!
For those delicate petals that are waaay too scared to visit Frankston after dark (thinking that would be around 95% of the population), Team Melburn will show you some highrises and laneways, and possibly a good noodle shop.
On Friday Springvale is lookin extra good for some gnarly longboard ditch night racing, and if it rains, we can do Monash for a Carpark GS session!
Negotiations are underway for a sanctioned CBD park for Sunday's slalom session, and we also have some other favourite spots as outlaw backup venues.
Sunday night will be a time for farewells to the visitors, and the locals can go to town for noodles and carparks.
Did I mention Melton?.....just did, nothing planned cause it is still a bit damp, so stay tuned for that one.
Get ready to Skate ya like ya stole it!
