Its happening again Jacks Attack Downhill Challenge 2013!
What is it?
WA's ONLY LEGAL AND INSURED DOWNHILL SKATEBOARDING RACE!
The Track!
We are using another section at the top of the track this year which will mean a chicane with a Left - Right into the straight. We are also moving the finish line by a few metres and more hay bails define the finish line better.
Juniors are 16 AND UNDER.
Registration:
Saturday DH Race: $70
If you wish to Race in Juniors and Opens it will cost you double and it will be entirely at your own risk to be at the line for your next heat. If you miss a heat it is your own fault.
Rego will be thru ASRA and PayPal only again.
Once rego is paid there will be no refunds for any reason, you use it or you lose it.
Race Format:
At this stage we are wanting to have a race for 48 Juniors, 48 Open and hopefully a 16 Womens and 16 Masters. A race format will be decided on soon. As last year we promise as many runs as you can possibly get thru heats and freeride runs.
Safety:
Fullface Helmet, Gloves and knee pads. Leathers are optional but recommend as it is a racing environment and shit does get hectic. There will be a small Tech inspection like last year, make sure your gear is in a good safe condition.
Prizes:
We are stoked to announce we will be offering CASH PRIZES for Juniors and Opens.
Open
1st $400
2nd $250
3rd $150
Juniors
1st $200
2nd $125
3rd $75

will there be any reps from sponsers at the race?
unsure. it is out of my control. the event info states between the 18th and 20th.
what time is rego tomorrow?
Hey Ben, we'll defs be after Track Marshals. a couple other lads are looking after that side of things. keep an eye out on the event page on FB and in the West Aus facebook group. they should be posting up soon about it. thanks mate.
too easy! that sounds like a good idea. I'll speak to Martin about cable. he may know of where we can get some and has probably used a timing system before where as i havent. Thanks Bernie.
Scott,
We use the timer for qualifying, and to confirm the winner when you get to "photo finish" situations.
The trackmate makes it very easy, because it can determine the winner within a 100th, and it has the starting beeps thing also.
You should see if you can borrow some cable, and be ready incase you change your mind about it.

Bernie, i was chatting to Martin Pavey a couple days ago and it turns out we won't be needing timing gear. We're running Tight Dual and Hybrid Dual races because we have an entire road to use. so that will be rad! thank you tho. I will need to speak to Robbo about borrowing the ASRA cones tho. i dont think we'll have enough here from our own collection.
