Cross country push and expression session to raise money for sick kids.
$10 entry donation will go to Camp Quality.
Helmet and gloves required. Pads are a good idea too.
Riders will have to agree to stick to the paths when walking up the hill. Riders will also be riding at own risk, and will agree to ride according to the stop/go control of the officials.
SPONSORS:
ADO from Cre8ive Sk8 is sending some prizes!
Good one Ado,... great cause!
Sean from Daily Grind has also come on-board with some product to give away as prizes. Rock on!!
EXTREME BOARDRIDERS
A company that has been selling longboards for years down at Glenelg has also come to the party. Good one guys!
They have some $25 dollar vouchers up for grabs for the top riders on the day.
The Mitcham Council are thinking of putting a dam at this site. Its a public recreational reserve, (that the residents have worked on making paths and a beautiful picnic area by the creek.)
The dam will require all of the residents houses to be a compulsory aquire by the council.
Needless to say the residents arent happy about the idea of this. One that I spoke to said the elected council official that got in apparently had a "No Dam" campaign, and NOW they seem to be going ahead and stonewalling the residents.
We will lose this spot in the future if it happens. (but that is not as much consequence as the residents face) its a 40 zone with no lines marked, so its supposed to be a "legal"spot.
Also it doesnt connect to any main roads at the top.
