Event Description

The final round of the 2008 Conehead Cup will be a fast giant slalom race at the Pump Station in the Blue Mountains.

If you need help with directions please send me a message.

From the June Dally Watkins School of Outlaw Etiquette...

The Pump Station is a special place, and we're only able to skate there because the locals have come to know us as friendly people who leave the place spotless and cause no offence. If one of the locals gets pissed off with us, it could mean the end of skating at Pump Station.

So I'd like to ask everybody to take extra care on the weekend to maintain our good reputation with the locals by looking after the place and generally being Low Impact and Low Profile.

In particular:

* Parking 1 - Please don't park in front of the boom gate. Fire trucks, lawn-mowing vans, and other people with keys to that gate occasionally need to get through.

* Parking 2 - Please don't park in people's driveways or in any way that makes it hard for residents. This may mean that you end up parking a couple of hundred metres away, but so be it.

* Rubbish - Please take it all away with you when you leave.

Thank you on behalf of the "Good Relations with the Locals Department".

Sounds better than relevant!

If its relevant I got a house up the mountains (the old man bought himself a weekender). Lots a space big back deck, spa, but no mini like at Greg's but a very steep very skate able hill out the front. And if need be anyone can crash there.

I've been assuming that the after-party will be at Groundhangers place, but I guess I better check it with him first.

Well, we're not locked in, but we're not locked out either.

Sunday hangover downhill sessions sweet. Are we locked in up the mountains??

The idea was racing on Saturday, followed by an after-party on Saturday night, allowing Sunday for recovery and travel for inter-staters.

Slalom racing on Saturday morning. And, if time, a downhill sesh in the afternoon.

Slalom on a Saturday... how unholy. How about downhill madness on the Saturday morning followed by course setting and dial in on sat arvo with GS race day sunday
