Important Issue: All riders will need to sign a waiver. ASRA will provide a bunch of waiver forms and the organiser (Bernie? Dave M?) will have to ensure that every rider signs one.

The event was booked within in time for ASRA points.[Tick!]

You have a good idea of how the track can work, from what we did in 2008, and to my mind, it looks like single lane racing should be the easiest to run, now all you need is a format.

The twisted jam format is good but needs a computer to collate results either "live" or at the end of each session.

A simple "fastest" run format can be done without a computer.  Or to make it interesting, the fastest 3 or 4 can go to a final round.( bit like twisted jam, but without using average times.)

I like the idea of keeping the course running through the day, because the track marshalls can come up during a break and set some times.

Dave pretty much has it nailed!

Looks like some sort of Slalom will be happening.

Other parts of the track have been ruled out by Newtons officials so Skyline it is

My thoughts are single lane timed runs as we have limited space  on Skyline and it will be very hard to get all riders together at the same time to have a smooth running Head to Head event.

Somewhere between 5 and 10 timed runs could be averaged or counted with a number of bottom scores being deducted to allow for some DQ,s and poor runs.

Could have a Saturday winner, Sunday winner, and overall Bathurst Slalom champ by adding Sat and Sunday finishing positions.

Track could be set up permanently for fun runs and practice but timing only conducted over a certain time period that fits in best with a slow time period on main event. A special timing period could be set up for slalom competitors tied up with official duties.

Sat - Track set up all day.

Start ramp with longest tight slalom course available set up allowing for run out section.

Timing conducted from 11am-1.00pm.

4.30pm-5.00pm (later session for officials and volunteers only if required)

similar format Sunday.

With this set up most people will have opportunity to compete in Slalom as well as Newtons. Slalom only entrants can still see as much of Newtons that we want.

this is one option only.

anyone else have a plan?? We do need to get something sorted this week.
