the main thing you can do is work with good influences. watch videos by Adam Colton, and videos such as Coffee and Judas and Lundberg Loses it, then compare those to high quality videos such as Fellowship of the Bearing and Drop, you will see how they use different angles, camera movements, lighting and colours to make it look good.
But as someone whos just starting off, stick with just the tripod and keep the camera movements smooth, thats one big step forward from just pointing and shooting. so your on the right track

i have a really great camera (I dont upload in 1080p) however cant really find how to make my vids look proffesional yet.
any advice would be appreciated
