Downhill Skateboarding in Many Pictures - By Jon Huey

Downhill Skateboarding in Many Pictures from Jon Huey on Vimeo.

While travelling and documenting downhill skateboarding, I have taken many thousands of images. I love video about as much as I love pictures. So when I realized I could combine the two, I was excited to start this project.

In this video, I combine many images taken of internationally renowned downhill skateboarders at Maryhill Loops Rd in Washington with a timelapse run down one of California's greatest roads, GMR. For the filming of that sequence at dusk, I held the trigger of my camera down while riding a buttboard, a skateboard made for riding on your butt. The two riders are my good friends Billy Meiners and Robert James McKendry III.

Cam Scott - Street luger. He did it around 02-03 from memory.

I'll do it one day, heard so many stories about it. Rogers Bros. website has some cool vids of it
