Surfing begat skateboarding. Skateboarding begat longboarding.
The history of skateboarding, as we all know, branched out of surfing. At a time that was a defining era, the counter culture of the 60′s and 70′s. Traveling to surf is in our DNA, almost a rite of passage in some parts of Australia. Skateboarding has inherited these genes, we all love the skate trip. In the early years of skateboarding, we had to travel to find new ramps, new pools, new concrete, new friends. Longboarding is no different. Whether we are looking for the perfect hill of hotmix, a crew that shares your passion, or a skateshop that has what you need, longboarders travel....

The first hill is down near newcastle. Pretty sure you'd die trying that one too.
