Premium Member Comment by matti rae on July 27, 2010 at 16:59: fe daz ill cop that... i do hav m8s but its only the 2 of us that r keen on downhilling... neitha of us even hav downhill boards letalone good safety gear... and we hav been holding back s we've had a "few" stacks n lost a lil bit of bark... ive js bought propper gloves today and will b getting a helmet with the longboard im buying and im digging up sum elbo n knee pads....next vid will b i safety gear... and hopefully less shit... i only learnt 2 slide a couple weeks ago....

Comment by DazTheCowboy on July 27, 2010 at 12:15: hey matti guess what! were not sponsored, and since a big accident i had.......thanks to my SAFETY gear, i walked away, the gear i have now is mostly borrowed dude, i had to do that cause at the time i didn't have money to get gear so i could ride, friends have lent me the gear so i could continue to train for races.........you do have friends right? hehe.
hell dude if you come out with us WE would lend you gear so you could do some serious riding, you gotta learn to chill a bit and if you wanna run on pro hills wear the gear, and keep in mind we have been doing this for a really long time without incidents of any kind, so don't fuck that up by being cocky and a smart ass, we work our arses off to have the gear we got, and we work even harder to keep the runs, so relax don't be a smart ass and work with us dude and lets bomb some hills together.

Its just that videos like this can fuck things up for a lot of people... no safety gear, crossing double lines etc draw unwanted attention from authorities. This is my local run and I'd hate to think that I'd have to lay low and not ride because of your stupidity. Use your brain and think of the bigger picture

im pretty fucking sure 99% of people on this site didnt get their helmets given to them by sponsors, but in fact payed for them themselves.
ill bet had you bothered having a look in your garage/closet/basement/attic you would have found a helmet of some sort, even if you hadnt you can pick up a lid for under 50 bucks...
