Abra Malaga

Abra Malaga, the back road into Machu Pitcchu is as epic as the acient ruins them selves, rising up between two peaks 4500m high and spirling down around 3 dozen hairpins and sweepers.

we knew this would be a extream road trip and had been looking forward to it since seeing the road on google maps only weeks ago at Chaman in lima.

the top section was crazy wet but the bottom fun section was dry and we ended up sessioning the 8-9k run for hours, dodging cows, dogs, kids with water ballons and all sorts of random stuff as we bombed what otherwise was a perfect road.
