"if you are close to 6 foot i would say 40" , but if your shorter around 5 foot to 5 8"  the 36" would be fine. i am pretty tall and i struggle to standup slide a 36" whilst a 40" is super good :D But rayne killswitches…"

"the shorter one will be easier to break into a slide, but if your taller and have a bigger foot stance it can be too small and really un-predictable. "

"You can pick up Early completes, as The Dave said for under $300. The TB Pro is their dearest, there's some cheaper than that. Not on Hopkins though, you'll have to hunt them down through some other shops.   Or go secondhand,…"

"That's not mid-price, that's the lowest price in the range, assuming you want a complete, not just a board (deck). Either look for something second hand in the market place here or pick up a Vault…"

"Generally for dh you want a grippy wheel, and for sliding you want a slidey wheel. No wheel is going to be good at both, unless you mean tech dh with predrifts and stuff, which it doesnt sound like you are."
