Hey I saw your comment on the inner west forum and i was wondering in which town you lived. there are a few good hills around newtown, which is where i live, that are great for learning. I have also only just skated and I can only do push up slides and sometimes a coleman. Come to bomb squad tomorrow if you want at railway square (central) where all the bus stops are. as long as you can footbrake you'll be fine
