so yeah sorry, theres not a lot i can do to help you out there. you seriously should get a longboard man. with all the freeriding (standup sliding and other snowboard type slides) that you can do on a loongboard these days, it wouldn't surprise me if freeboards die out by the end of the year. your welcome to borrow one of mine if you come up to a session one time. we generally organise the sessions on the EOTH thread. so keep a look out.
