Why dont you just buy velcro with a 'glued' backing on it. You get it from supermarkets or sowing shops like spot light. Just peel off the paper on the back and stick it to your glove and puck. No quick grip, no shoe goo, no microwave its just like a sticker with velcro on the front.

the drill holes just give the quickgrip more purchase on the puck , no screws or nothing

also, if you're using UHMWPE, spend like $8 on a decent pair of gloves, those ones are like $6 for a 3 sets and they just rip straight away.
