Alex,
I had to crash a motorbike at 120kph to get a knee like that.
Get well soon dude.

(The new Primate pads with kevlar sides might work better. )

That sounds like you were really lucky there Bernie! - 120 clicks... jeeeez!
I was only going slow and i still had so much momentum. Felt like if there was no gutter i would of just kept going and going!

I'll make sure to keep an eye out for those Primate pads. - Cheers for the well wishes!

i dont know if you will find a kneepad that wont slide down on impact,a month ago a guy we know was wearing primate vert pads with top n bottom straps, they still got ripped down when he crashed doin about 45k,i think they cushion the initial impact but once there slidin the grip of the road just rips em down resulting in gnarly road rash or chunckage to the knees, wearing them on top of long pants can help a bit.

i saw the pads rollerboy had on the weekend and ive seen them before. it looks like they are a white slide puck material. kinda like the slide puck material on the landyachtz gloves. dunno much about them but they looked pretty tough

Not lucky....., hung over!... after an Easter Weekend at Mt Panorama Bike races (Cold Chisel were on fire, and the NSW TRG kicked off with the usual riot!)
