The Vault wheels on the Dervish - what do you think of them in general?
Comment by mack daddies daddie on December 27, 2010 at 8:38

hey dave ........them vault wheels really blew me away i was using otangs 86a durrains and was sliding good you know .......... but as soon as i out these vault 83a on my slides just went twice as long if otangs feel good ......these vaults feel like otangs in the rain ay thice as slippy... the only thing about them is i have put like tiny flat spots on them u can only notice them when u ride onlike fresh concrete or floorboards but i think these wheels are only good for chilled down hill, i think if u went down something crazy n did a big slide to stop for a car or something u would just chew them ........otangs for the crazys shit

........but i got a hip problem i fucked all my hips up in yr 7 and have verry little leg muscles compaired to normal like one of my lefts is skinny as and the onther one looks likes its on steriods next to the skinny one and i felt like the otangs holding me back like too gripping / im not goin fast enough..........but i think the otangs not sliding to their fullest is cuz i could not rip the board around when im sliding just cuz of not having enough leg power

but yeah something differnt about vault wheels some are totally shit worst things in the world and these 83a 76mm wheels for 40 bucks new are a steal i think.............. massive response i know but i think people are bit too quick to judge vault some of their stuff is really good for the money but some of their is if crap but i think if u do some research ask some questions someone has seen / used what your looking at

overall these wheels for 40 bucks are the bomb they slide good u can bomb shit with them nice big n chuncky and they green and gold aussi aussi aussi oi oi oi .......and u can reverse them so when they start to cone

Yep, a lot of Vault-hate around here. I have these wheels in 70 and 76mm. They're definitely great for slides - just interested to get other opinions. Only problem is that they're a bit slow - I think it's due to low rebound urethane.

Nice quiver. Amber freerides rock out too.

cheers dave mate, yeah they are a nice wheel have only used them once or twice so far cuz of weather......

low rebound like its more spongys than hard ..... was riding mt gravat mountian n yeah was laggin a bit next to some of the boys younger than me that weigh less than me n i thought i would just fly past them.... they are deffa wicked training wheel for down hill

Too hard. It means that the roughness in the road isn't absorbed (for want of a better word), instead the wheel needs to ride up and over every tiny bump, which slows it down. You might have noticed that they feel really bumpy on rough surfaces compared to other 83A wheels. But for a slide session wheel they're pretty rad.
