haha, OH HELL! i thought you were only sponsored by hopkin? YOU'VE GOT LOADED TOO!? maaaaaaaan that's niiiiice.

...just makes me even sadder about how much i can't slide...i tried a few coleman's yesterday...couldn't even get my wheels to break loose, 78a flashies probably aren't ideal...'specially when they're brand new hey..haha, oh well, i'll just keep trying. Still new to longboarding in general anyway, so i've got plenty to learn =D

hopkin, o-tang, rayne longboards and kooky trucks bro...
try sliding something a big harder to start. the more weight you put on your hands the easier it will be to break em out. push with that back foot. its a mental thing, and practice makes perfect

yeah, i'm going to get like..some orange zigs maybe...so i have something for sliding and something for carving..only problem is i have literally 50$ haha, i even cashed my 'piggy' (it's not a pig, i got ripped off) bank full of silver change i've been saving since i was 7...that's...actually where the $50 came from...haha

yeah, i think i'll get some orange or lemon zigs if i get the cash, because they're great for carving and they break out easily if i'm correctly informed

hell, I wouldn't be too happy if this happened to me, and I don't have access to a lathe so i wouldn't be able to fix them, but I can't resist sliding on otangs :D it's a pity they wear down so fast. any chance you won't be needing any of those wheels any more jacko, cause I know someone that might want them :P

dude this is just a handful of my coned wheels ready to be lathed down... i have an entire box dedicated to recycled wheels... When loaded sent my my first bunch of freebies i knew it would be a long time before i got over seas and my hands on another box without paying shipping so even though i had a big stash, i was careful how i shred them. Now the gnar-bar is being raised and sliding is becoming an every day thing i need all the wheels i can get...

lol, yeah i know what you mean, i always try to keep sliding on my otangs to a minimal, but like i said its hard because they're nice to slide on. anyway btb looked like so much fun, and by the looks of it you had the most fun.

well smaller wheels are always easier to break out into slides. It depends on what your riding really. At BTB i wish i brought more In Heats (especially the ones with the new cores coz they feel nice to drift on) and coz they r a bigger wheel there is more to wear away =)
But the normal wheels characteristics come down to what your riding. slower more technical courses i'll go for smaller wheels to get acceleration, and higher top-end speeds are more suited to larger wheels. However if i want to slide more i'll put on the smaller wheels because they break out easier but then again if i wanna thrash wheels i'll go for a bigger set because theres more thane to burn. Its all much of a muchness really and only gives you such a slight advantage and only in race situations can u tell the difference.

Also different surfaces and temperaturs seem to act on different eurethanes too... up in townsville i noticed the heat played a big part in the wear-n-tear of my wheels. As it got hotter my o-tang seemed to shred so much quicker. Just freeriding urban styles on the thursday i chewed a fresh set of wheels doing standup slides. The road was nice n toasty it just seemed to eat them away. Also on the sunday arvo at Mt Stuart it seemed to be a little bit hotter than the Saturday and i coned out a set of fresh 4-presidents in 3 runs! the day before i took at least 10 runs before i fucked a single set

Far out that's nuts, Jacko's a predator to loaded wheels.
