It rained solid in Sydney all day yet every picture here is completely dry. Very sly move PC, throwing down some radness while we were all locked inside

Yeah Robbo, We were lucky with the weather. Didn't pack up till after 5pm. A good 6 hours of radness.

Sorry to everyone that would have liked to make it to this little event.

I made the call to postpone, so people wouldn't have to travel to far with the

prevailing weather conditions & possibly be disapointed.

As it turned out the weather decided not to rain where the event was being held.

When I showed up at 10am to check the road & carpark there were already a few local groms waiting to find out if it was on.

The surface had started to dry, so I started with a little slide clinic in the top carpark for the groms, a brief shower sent us undercover for 10 minutes. Then stopped & everything quickly dried out.

We decided to set the timer up for the lap of the oval time trials, a 767 metre concrete path loop with mellow downhill to start to the back for the ovals, then a

slowley increasing up hill push to the top of the oval, then a slight DH & push to the finish line 150 metres away. Quite a gruelling run if your racing the against the clock or your grommie mates. Or against the wind !

I'll post up placings for all the events soon. But Millsy set the fastest lap time with a blistering 2mins 00.09 secs.

We then moved on to a bit of timed slalom, where the groms, after a brief rundown on slalom technique & safety were running the course clean & getting quicker all the time. Trying to put down a faster run than their mates & forming little rivalries amongst themsevles. Heaps of fun to watch & a real crack up at times.

Millsy commented that he had never seen so many times put down on a time sheet by this enthusiastic young crew.

I had heaps of boards for them to try out as well as there own rides.

Had 3 Daddow set ups for people to try out, & do you think I could get a go on 1 of them.

The kids were loving the boards, slalom, cruisers. DH setups, freerides,  but I think the Platypus was the favorite for most.

The call went out for so mellow DH races, so we drew up a sheet with 2 peeps races & some 3 peeps just for fun, race who you want. Followed by a few china bombs & some catamarans by Millsy & me.

The sun was starting to set,..... the groms didn't want to stop, but the fun must end sometime.

Lots of stoke all round & everyone hang out to do it again soon.

I'm still buzzin' from the way the day turn out.

Thanks to everyone who turned up & helped out with set up & timing & taking cool photos. Especialy my cool family.

I hope to do the event again in the school holidays. so stay tuned for a date.

PC.
