ASRA - Australian Skateboard Racing Association

Dear all downhill longboarder folk.

I have recently fallen in love with your sport and shelled out a stupid amount of money to get kitted up. I have some short and steep hills in my area to skate and improve my currently pathetic skill base but I'm looking for some longer, quiet roads to have a go at. If anybody could give me a list of possible roads to check that would be awesome. I live in Pennant Hills in Sydney's north west but have car and will travel. Can I just stress that I'm new to skating (still learning how to slide) but have confidence doing big carves on steep and wide enough roads - hope that makes sense.

Any helpful advice greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Ando

bro i live in beecroft, and there is this sweet little t-junction for you to learn your heelside and toeside slides. you can go as high or low as you want and its easy to spot cars with a buddy.

pm me for my number and we can organise sessions :)
Come to Church of Slalom this Sunday - nice hill, perfect for learning a few things, and no cars cos it's a bike track in a park.
Cheers mate. It sounds good but I can't get there this week as I'm heading up the coast. Next week?

Cool! I grew up in Epping. I recently found some good long and quiet hills in Cherrybrook but if you know someplace better I'm keen to have a crack! I'm on holidays at present so any day and most times are good!
come to bomb squad and get your skills down, then try some nce mellow hills like pump station

Sorry James but I'm 'old school' and don't know how to do what you suggested - 'friend request' etc. If you can talk me through it then great. That T-section sounds good. I've been practising pre-drifts Toe and heelside and am making some progress - slowly!
haha, ok then, top right of the asra screen is your name. then it says "friends" then is should say in brackets (requests) click that and click accept under my name

after that we can exchange private msgs
Cheers mate! I did it - I think?
