Where to hock up: sydney

I'm traveling to Sydney 17th November (from Denmark (not the town, but the country)) and are going to stay there for some time.
So I would love to hock up with some fellow longboarders/skaters to shred and hang out.
I'm going to live on a hostel at first, but are looking for a room to rent for some months. So if anybody have a room they want to sublease, sent a pm or something and we can talk about it.
Looking forward to meet you.
ps: I have bought a ticket to newtons nation festival. Is it possible to skate there when not participating?

Sydney City Bomb Squad will be your welcoming new family for all your city shred needs. we meet every thursday 6.30 pm Railway Square. It'll make sense when your in the city. As for a room best bet is flatmatefinder.com or gumtree.com.au
and no skating on the hill at newtons except for racers... but there will awesome video to watch every race and spill.yeew.
