turn your head the way you want to go... and speed!

go faster

Besides going faster, remember to release pressure on the back foot so it hooks back in.
I cant agree with Conners comment, when your doing a toeside pendy/predrift you should already be looking down the road.

Release pressure, take your hand off the ground and off your board and carve it back into your line. Should be back in your line by the time your standing/tucking because of the wind down.

i turn my head the way i want to spin when im doing any pendys beacuase it automaticly swings your body back around

cheers for all the pointers people :D

Main point is to go fast fast fast

1. this gives you time to get a feel of the pendy

2. you don't slow down as quickly when you slide

Also keep you knees low (hard to explain)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qcQpcvkylGs  - the man himself shows it pretty well

When you bring your knees up you lose the mobility in your hips and legs to suck the board back in - good for shut down bad for pendy

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gHIObEZcW38 this vid is nice and slow mo and it shows all their knees low and legs cocked
