road rules

Can anyone tell me if you can ride longboards on the road in designated bicycle lanes? I live in Melbourne and there are so many bike lanes on the roads. Thanks.

theoretically no as you are classified as a pedestrian but people dont usually bother you if you do.

Thanks for that, it seems logical now! Forgot we were classed as pedestrians.
