Yeah well said Robbo.
It's easy to watch these vids of races on the net and get the impression that it's just a matter of closing a road and getting a ute full of Hay bales and throwing them on some bends and going racing but it's not.
Like anything it can be done on a budget or blow out to an outrageous expense.
This is what a 2 day event that cost $1million looks like
I'm looking to have an official ASRA event kit up on the site soon which will include:
*Insurance policy info
*A Risk Management Policy document
*Promotional video for councils and tourism boards
*Basic staffing requirements
*An event starter guide which covers most of the technical, legal and logistical issues in organising public outdoor skate events.
and a few other things.
This will be downloadable from the ASRA site. I've just got to get through the new year and the Master Of The Hill event, so it should be ready by the end of January. Hopefully this will save people alot of time and help get more events off the ground.
