ASRA - Australian Skateboard Racing Association

I bought my daughter a skateboard so I thought I'd try it myself even though I haven't been on a board for  25 years...anyhow I liked it so much I bought a Dervish the following day. Love it, but am a complete newbie...after two days (this weekend) I am trying the coleman slide on my own, so far not much luck but could be the wheels are still too grippy and new (I've to orangatang 75mm, 83a).

Where are good places around Coogee to learn to slide?

Thanks!

dunno about coogee cause theres always cars. if u just started try kingsford or kensington for some goodish hills.

Kingsford and kensington are close by so that would be great too....where?

Mate, all you need is a bit of a hill with not too many cars around - preferably a decently wide road. If you're unable to find a hill in Coogee, you're doing it wrong....

Lots of hills around here, but lots of cars too :)

Know any good streets that are quiet? Quite happy to go anywhere in the area to be safe...

i think coogee is one of the best suburbs in Sydney for skating,

"if your having hill problems i fell bad for you son, cause i got 99 problems but a hill aint one."

There are quiet streets but it's never a good idea to post spots online. Just have a drive around and check the area out. Also, you have a message.
