ASRA - Australian Skateboard Racing Association

We're palnning a freeride weekend on Bruce rd. in Tongariro National park NZ in early Dec. if anyone is interested, the aim is to make it a charity freeride weekend like BTB. If you're interested or have any suggestions please speak up as i've never done this before. Wondering about things like costs for closing rds, cost for having StJohns ambos there. And getting some sponsorship.
We expect top speeds in the range of 85-95kph. for stand up, luge could be much higher.
cheers

thats an awesome road, good luck sourcing that many hay bales though haha. But if you can get an event up and running it would be epic
heres a link to the road map. start at the top near the pond and add about 4 1/2 mins of descent. prob about a 4-6km run.

Me on the rd last weekend (linked as the photo is huge). Fairly rough terrain so hay bales would certainly be a bonus :)

Would be really cool if some people headed down after newtons.
as kiwis livin in Brissy , we would def come back ova for the weekend , looks like a great road . try talking to tourism nz and also local council on basis of making a short film....always opens roads...
