the yatedog ripped the shit out f butty board and beat some veteran ridders to take the podium..t was a fully gnar event all round with it dry one minute then it hailed just before second heat and it was all about who had a rain set up and who could push it the most...i had a real tough first heat with james kelly,yates and blake sonnef another fast candian...so i was stoked to make it through that then have to surf the rain and luckily mad it to the third round...i had my water wheels still on but it dried up too much and the other crew who changed the wheels left me for dead on the straights...it was a sick event all round and i cant wait for a dry road next year...
thanks to everyone who helped me get here and made the dream happen..

My first qual time was 3.36 which I was a bit disapointed with. My back wheels kept scrubbing out on cowzers with the Nicko and I was having to touch the ground alot. I then chanmged to my GLYDE topmount and the next day I managed to cut 10 seconds off my previouse time. That put me in the race to qualify where it promptly started raining half way up the hill.

Two people from my heat had rain wheels the rest of us had to cope. I was leading the pack until the left before Cowzers where I slid out and was passed by all. I caught up to a Zoo bomber on the last left but he fell off and I hit him. He copped a GLYDE in the back pretty freakin hard. He got up faster and beat me over the line. Was a fun few days with 3 days of free riding the hill.

Glad to hang out with the Aussies and even though the Go-pro screwed up a couple of times we had a few good runs.
Was really good to skate with Jeremy finally. Cheers guys.
