Lugers in the news
Did anyone see channel 10 news in Qld tonight?They were carrying on about daredevil lugers risking their lives and the lives of motorists in townsville.They interveiwed A-Drain.

its funny how they always say "risking their lives and lives of others" makes us gravity freaks sound like a bunch of criminals...
why cant the media just say "they were farkin cookin down a hill really fast and it was sick!!!"

ohh no because that would give a bad influence to others cough* cough*, iff it was a motorbike speeding and swerving over the road going twice the speed they wouldn't even make it on tv, but because it's a sport that no one really knows that much about it, they will ripp on it. and come on there wearing the same gear as a motorbike rider.

Yea, I am very disappointed with the way the story was cut and the "great" footage they used of the Big Air comp from the late 90's!!!!!!!!!!
Did you notice that the white car that was shown going up the hill when we weren't riding was on the wrong side of the road!!!!!!!!!
I tried to give the guy all the info about safety gear, traffic control and follow cars but of course that was left on the cutting room floor. Guess the only plus was Joe Public can see I'm an old fart and not some young guy and maybe they may take that into account when they form an opinion.

LOL its nothing the public havnt seen before !! seem about every two years the media get footage of san fran big air ! splice it with some local footage then twist the words off the people interviewed to get a story !!! i have two other interveiws the same on tape from 2000 !!
