ASRA - Australian Skateboard Racing Association

For some reason I've been hearing about longboarding/downhill skating in the Philippines a bit over the past couple of weeks. And now I see this:

The rush: Nicole, Denise and Migo share their love for longboarding

There's a bit of a scene in Malaysia and New Zealand, so now we need Indonesia, Thailand, Japan, China and India on board. Would be cool to have an Asian racing series that rivalled the European and American races.

Is this Farrah,s replacement.
wait there's a scene in Malaysia?

i think Philippines has the biggest longboarding scene in asia, they've already had a few events there.
I wouldn't say there's a huge scene in Malaysia, as the only DH scene has been me and the few guys that I've taught to street luge. Right now we're looking on banking on the scene in the Philippines to help the rest of us Asians get to that level where we have plenty of riders.
our mate Nacho used to run bestboards.co.nz in NZ but has returned to the Philippines to open a shop with his wife. will keep ya posted when he opens.
i've been talking with Carlos http://whiskeyhill.multiply.com/ and Nicole about getting boards and safety gear over there and sponsoring Nicole she won the last downhill race, still very raw not many in leathers yet. A good start in getting downhill and longboarding into to Asia potentially a huge force if we can help get it going. Shanghai has the biggest skatepark in the world so the momentums gathering.
check out whats going on over there the winner gets a newtons wildcard? Robbo do you know about this? Classic great profile for the sport and it looks like it's really taking off.
Loaded Longboards have featured a few philippines longboard videos.
