ASRA - Australian Skateboard Racing Association

OK, it isn't quite live yet, but the ASRA crew plus other volunteers have arrived, and we're busy setting up here at the Scout Camp. Tomorrow we'll be busy with last minute stuff, plus rider check-in which starts at midday.

It's wet, and the forecast is for the rain to continue until Thursday night. After that it should be mostly clear.

There's a lot of wildlife here - possums, deer, bush turkeys, lyrebirds and the most common of all - leeches. This place is seriously crawling with leeches - salt is supposedly the thing to ward them away.

See you all tomorrow at rider check-in.

Yatesy trying to find a way to get a practice run in for classic - but track time is tight...

Patrick Switzer and Matt K through, Louis P and Api are out.

Street Luge finally underway today. They've been waiting all morning...

Furlong and David Thompson win the first two heats.

Dam i was backing Dejan...

Caspian Baska and Alejandro Waring both off to hospital...think they're OK.

Coming up next is quarter finals of the Juniors, and then more Inline and Classic Luge.

Dejan and Liam go 1 and 2 in their heat. Quin F wins his heat. Kelly C and Josh E are 1 and 2 in their heat.

Junior quarters now done, and we're onto Classic.

Womens finals on the line for the first time today. We're getting to the business end...top 8 in every discipline.

Yatesy wins his classic luge heat, and is into the classic final.

Jayden Mitchell has ruined the schedule. I never figured that somebody would be in both the Junior semis and the Open semis. Tricky to get him back up the hill in time to race both.

Cam Kite rubbed wheels with Jayden in their heat, causing Cam to wobble and dislocate his shoulder, which happens for Cam just putting a shirt on. Cam had to negotiate the next corner with a dislocated shoulder and had to stand and slow, and that was it for Cam's race.

While on the subject of dislocated shoulders, Lea Robbo wins her heat, and makes it through to the women's finals.

Junior semi-finals about to begin.
